FA opens Wembley box for community groups and charities

Friday 19 May 2023

The FA is welcoming community groups and charities to Wembley Stadium to watch select events from within a newly opened Community Box.

As part of our commitment to ensuring English football is accessible for all, the 12-seater Community Box will be provided free of charge to groups at a number of events throughout 2023 and beyond, with complimentary food and drink provided.

The box will be available for the upcoming Emirates FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Manchester United on Saturday 3 June, and charities and community organisations are invited to apply for this by emailing FACharities@thefa.com. We will also work with participating clubs to identify groups to attend the upcoming EFL Championship Playoff Final on 27 May.

The Community Box is an opportunity to give back to people who deserve a special day, and we previously invited the Make-a-Wish Foundation to use the box for the first time during the recent England Men’s international fixture against Ukraine. The charity brought six children, who have all being diagnosed with a critical illness, and their parents and carers to the match after we received a letter about the children’s wishes to see England play at the home of football.

A full list of events at which the Community Box will be available for in future, and details of how to apply, will be published ahead of the 2023-24 season.
