The FA and BBC Radio 1 will collaborate for the Vitality Women’s FA Cup and Emirates FA Cup Finals in 2023, with some of radio’s biggest names performing at the showpiece events.
With a packed Wembley Stadium connected by EE expected for both Finals, fans in attendance will be treated to DJ sets from some of Radio 1’s most well-known talent. Arielle Free and Charlie Hedges will perform at the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final on Sunday 14 May, and Jeremiah Asiamah at the Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday 3 June.
All three DJs will perform pre-match and at half-time at their respective Finals.
Arielle Free is Radio 1’s Early Breakfast presenter, bringing her energy to early mornings. She is also a huge champion of new artists which sees her playing new music across the summer at some of the world’s biggest festivals.
Charlie Hedges co-hosts Radio 1’s Live Lounge show, which attracts some of the biggest artists, with alumni including Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus and Bruno Mars. As well as this, she also hosts Radio 1 Dance Anthems, which is the UK’s biggest dance show.
Jeremiah Asiamah hosts Radio 1’s Soundsystem Party (Saturdays, 7pm – 10pm) and Radio 1Xtra’s Rave Show. The south London born DJ and producer is a long-standing champion of Electronic Dance music and sound system culture. He is well-known for his distinctive style, merging genres from both African and Caribbean culture with House music.

The Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester United will kick-off at 2.30pm on Sunday 14 May, with live coverage commencing at 1.50pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The Emirates FA Cup Final pits Manchester City against Manchester United and will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 3 June, with the match broadcast live in the UK on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, ITV, ITVX, UTV, STV and STV Player.
