Jobi McAnuff and Mark Esiri have today been confirmed as Independent Non-Executive Directors of The FA, following ratification by the FA Council.
The FA Board’s unanimous nominations were announced earlier this month and the appointments were formally ratified following a full meeting of the FA Council on Thursday 26 May.
The appointments reflect the FA Board’s desire to add to its skillset and The FA’s commitment to evolve to a majority independent Board, aligned with the recommendations in the Fan-Led Review.
FA Chair Debbie Hewitt MBE said: "Jobi and Mark will be excellent additions to the FA Board, and I’m delighted that their appointments have been officially ratified.
"They will both bring valuable expertise to our Board, with Jobi’s experience of playing and coaching at the highest levels domestically and internationally, and Mark’s impressive track record of transforming organisations through digital technology. I’m looking forward to welcoming them both to our Board."
In addition, there was confirmation today that Tim Score would become a permanent Independent Director, following ratification by FA shareholders, and he will also chair the Remuneration Committee from June 2022.
