The Emirates FA Cup 2022-23 season kicks-off in August and the draws for the extra preliminary and preliminary rounds have been made.
Following on from the release of the FA Cup's entries, exemptions, round dates and prize fund last week, we can now reveal how the early stages of the new campaign look with 208 ties in the extra preliminary round on Saturday 6 August and 136 ties in the preliminary round on Saturday 20 August.
And while it may seem like a long road from Wembley and next June's Emirates FA Cup Final, but all 416 teams who get the competition rolling next month will have the same hopes and dreams.
One update to note from last week's announcement is that Hilltop FC have since been accepted into the competition following the withdrawal of Jersey Bulls, which was confirmed on 5 July 2022.
Hilltop FC will be competing at Step 5 of our National League System this season and had correctly applied to enter the competition during the application window.
