The closing deadline for applications has now passed and the Nominations Committee will commence the process of putting together a longlist of candidates before shortlisting, reference-checking and selecting the final candidate for approval by our Board and Council.

Concussion Substitutes
David Elleray, Technical Director of the International Football Association Board (IFAB), presented on the recent approval by IFAB for competitions to trial concussion substitutes. This will allow for additional permanent substitutes where a concussion either occurs or is suspected.

Annual Report and Financial Statements
The Council received a presentation from Mark Burrows, Chief Financial and Operations Director, on the financial results from the 2019-2020 season. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been significant on our revenue streams with an estimated loss of £300m over four years. Cost reductions have been made across all aspects of the game to mitigate this impact.
