Brentford has been working to engage with minority communities, women and those with disabilities to make them long term fans and feel welcome and safe at our club.

We provide an inclusive, enjoyable and safe experience for fans, and have come down hard, including activation of a zero-tolerance policy, in our quest to eradicate any form of racism or discrimination.

We are also embedding equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of recruitment across the club to ensure we are searching for key hires across the widest range of platforms, talent pools and with aligned partners, having recently introduced a Diverse Recruitment Protocols and Practices Code.

For example, we have showcased the role of women in football and outlined a pathway for those looking to work in the game. We have supported those in our local community who are experiencing mental health difficulties and other disabilities and made them part of Brentford.

Brentford has achieved recent successes by using talent pools for players that others are not looking at - by working to remove human bias from player recruitment, and by using the latest data and science to achieve these objectives.

We're now looking to do the same across all our recruitment because we believe this will make Brentford a better football club, and better in all of our decision making. We have therefore signed up to the Football Leadership Diversity Code because this is who we are.

We believe the Code will change football for the better because we and other clubs across the football pyramid will use these principles to increase the diversity and improve the quality of the talent pool in every aspect of the football business.

By showing that there are better opportunities for people from all backgrounds in every aspect of football we believe that this will ultimately redress the balance in an industry which has struggled to show that it is truly inclusive.
