England squad named for UEFA Women’s U19 Championship first qualifying round

Emma Coates has named her England squad for the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship first qualifying round.

Seven of the 20-player group ply their trade in the Barclays FA WSL while another seven represent clubs in the FA Women’s Championship.

  • v Cyprus, 10am BST, Weds 2 Oct
  • v Belarus, 4pm BST, Sat 5 Oct
  • v Serbia, Midday BST, Tues 8 Oct
The Young Lionesses will take on Cyprus, host nation Belarus, and Serbia.

The top two sides in each of the 12 groups plus the four third-placed teams with the best record against the top two in their section will enter the elite round draw on Thursday 21 November.

The elite round is scheduled for next spring with the eight-team finals taking place in Georgia next July.
