Rachel Yankey believes The FA Player is changing the landscape for women’s football in England.
The FA Player is a new live streaming platform, free to use and available online and via a dedicated mobile app, providing unprecedented access to over 150 domestic women’s football fixtures.
“The FA Player is a great tool to watch WSL games and it makes women's football more accessible,” said Yankey, who earned 129 England caps during a stellar career.
“That's what you want: for people to be easily able to either attend or find games on TV or online.
“Women's football has been something that if you weren't that interested, and proactive, it was quite hard to get into because it wasn't accessible in many places.
“Now that's changing. The games are on your TV, laptop or mobile and that will help showcase the talent we have in the women's game even more.”
