Baroness Sue Campbell, our director of women's football, is to become a dame after being listed on the Queen's New Year's Honours list.
Scott is second only to Fara Williams MBE in the table of the country's most-capped footballers, having made her 146th appearance last month.
Baroness Campbell is honoured for her services to sport, while Scott is recognised for services to women's football.
An FA spokesperson said: "We're thrilled and delighted that Sue has been recognised with a damehood in the New Year's Honours list.
"Sue has dedicated her career to the advancement of sport in this country spanning four decades. Having joined The FA in 2016, we've been privileged to benefit enormously from her vast knowledge, leadership and energy in driving forward the growth of the women’s game in this country.
"We're also delighted that Jill Scott has been awarded an MBE for her services to English football. Jill has been one of the outstanding players in the England Women’s team for well over a decade and was one of the key figures in the team’s success at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France earlier this year.
"Our heartfelt congratulations to Dame Sue Campbell and Jill Scott MBE."
