England celebrate after clinching World Cup qualification in Newport

England Women will learn their World Cup fate when the draw is made in Paris on Saturday afternoon.

Twenty-four nations will be drawn into six groups of four for next summer’s showpiece event.

Phil Neville’s side, fourth in the FIFA rankings, are in Pot 1 with holders USA, host nation France, Germany, Canada and Australia.

The Lionesses qualified unbeaten for what will be their fourth consecutive appearance at the tournament.

England’s best-ever finish at a World Cup came in Canada four years ago when a Fara Williams penalty helped edge Germany in the third-place play-off.

Alex Scott, who appeared for the Lionesses at three World Cups, will conduct the draw alongside former France international Louis Saha.

USA legend Carli Lloyd and Didier Deschamps, who led France to men’s World Cup glory in the summer, will also be in attendance.

The draw will be live on BBC Two and the BBC Sport website from 5pm GMT on Saturday.

The World Cup will take place between 7 June and 7 July 2019.

The Local Organising Committee for the FIFA Women’s World Cup is responsible for all ticketing and has established the regulations for selling tickets to supporters of participating nations.

The FA, working with the Local Organising Committee, will have an allocation of tickets for every England match during the tournament to sell to members of the Lionesses Supporters Club.
