Emirates FA Cup third round draw made at Stamford Bridge

Monday 03 Dec 2018
The third round is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 5 January 2019

Woking will entertain Premier League Watford in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup after the draw was made at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.

The Cards knocked out Swindon Town in round two and are one of only two non-League sides definitely through to the next round. The other is Barnet who were handed an away tie at Sheffield United.

Holders Chelsea will entertain Nottingham Forest, who knocked out record 13-time winners Arsenal last season, and the Gunners will go to either Solihull Moors or Blackpool.

There are two all-Premier League clashes with AFC Bournemouth hosting Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool, who have won the Cup seven times, entertaining Wolverhampton Wanderers.

League One leaders Portsmouth, Cup winners in 2008, will travel to Championship table-toppers Norwich City.

The eagerly anticipated draw was conducted by former Chelsea player-manager Ruud Gullit, who led the Blues to FA Cup glory in 1997, and Paul Ince who won the competition with Manchester United in 1990 and 1994.

The third round is scheduled to take place over the weekend of Saturday 5 January 2019.

Winning clubs will receive £135,000 after The FA doubled the prize fund at the beginning of the season.
