Set out below is an update on the Council meeting which took place on 25 July 2018.
This is known as the Summer Meeting and marks the start of the new Council Year. The main highlights were as follows:-
Council Membership
At the start of the new Council year, all appointments to the Council from the various associations and groups are noted. The new members of Council for this season are:-

FA Board Membership
The FA Board comprises the Chairman, three representatives from the Professional Game, three representatives from the National Game, the Chief Executive Officer and two independent non-executive directors.
The Board currently comprises:

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan 2018 - 2021
Paul Elliott (Inclusion Advisory Board Chair), Rachel Brace (HR Director), Rimla Akhtar (Inclusion Representative) and Colin Bridgford (Manchester CFA CEO) presented to Council on The FA’s new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan. The plan will focus on The FA and its culture, our elite England teams, the grassroots workforce and inclusion across the game.
Wembley Stadium
The Council discussed the offer received from the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the purchase of Wembley Stadium. Mark Burrows (Chief Financial & Operations Officer) presented to the Council on the discussions held to date and some of the concerns expressed, particularly regarding the terms of a sale and the mechanism for distribution of the sale proceeds.
Committee Membership
Following the Council meeting, all the committees of the Council and National Game Board met to appoint their respective Chairs and Vice-Chairs for the new season. A list of the members of the various committees for the 2018-19 season can be found here.
