England players celebrate Jodie Taylor's Euro 2017 winner over France

England Women have risen to an all-time high of third in the FIFA rankings following their performance at Euro 2017.

The Lionesses reached the last four in the Netherlands where they were beaten by the host nation and eventual winners.

It was their second successive semi-final appearance after their star turn at Canada 2015.

Mark Sampson’s side won all three group matches, including a resounding 6-0 victory over neighbours Scotland in the opening game.

They followed this up by defeating France for the first time in 43 years, a result which sealed their spot in the semi-final.

England begin their 2019 World Cup qualifying campaign against Russia at Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park on Tuesday 19 September.

Tickets can be bought via TheFA.com/Tickets, by calling 03330 144452 (option 1) or in person at Prenton Park.
