Preparation for next year’s UEFA European U17 Championship continues this week as St. George’s Park plays host to a development tournament.
U16 sides from England, Spain, Italy and Finland will be based out of The FA’s national football centre for a UEFA Development Tournament that runs from 11 to 20 February.
All fixtures – apart from England’s Friday night encounter with Spain at Leek Town – will be staged at St. George’s Park.
With many of the players from this age group likely to be back for the 2018 Euro finals – the first to be staged in England under the competition’s current U17 guise – it will be the ideal opportunity for English football’s elite Staffordshire base to gear up for the prestigious occasion.
