Flackwell Heath put on a five-star showing to see off Burnham and mark the start of the new Emirates FA Cup campaign in style.
A total of 737 clubs have entered this season’s Cup, with 185 extra preliminary round ties being played around the countries.
Flackwell Heath were one of ten teams in action on Friday night and they enjoyed a winning start, comfortably seeing off visiting Burnham.
The first goal came as early as the sixth minute by Liam Tack before second followed before half-time via Dean Allen.
Burnham’s hopes were further dashed two minutes into the second half when Jamie Essex found the net before he doubled his tally for the night and Dan Malloy rounded off the hosts’ scoring with a fifth.
Alresford Town also progressed courtesy of a 2-1 victory at Sholing – although it was not without its drama.
The hosts were awarded a penalty in the ninth minute after Lee Wort was brought down but Dan Mason saw his spotkick saved by Daniel Kempson and Alresford took the lead on the half-hour mark through Steve Hall.
They doubled their lead on 49 minutes through Tom Sands before the game flared up on 65 minutes when both Alex Sawyer, of Sholing, and visiting Lukas McCartney, were shown red cards, while Mike Hubbard grabbed a goal back in stoppage time.
There was also a penalty save in the match between Crowborough Athletic and Lingfield as Zac Attwood failed to find the net for the hosts on 16 minutes after Sam Carrington was fouled.
The game remained goalless until the break before a goalmouth scramble saw Reece Connolly put Crowborough in front on 67 minutes, with David Graves sent off for the visitors for dissent.
And the hosts confirmed the win when Carrington calmly backheeled in during stoppage time for 2-0.
Elsewhere Ryan Foster’s first-half strike was enough to see Aylestone Park progress at the expense of hosts Heanor Town while Potton United and Biggleswade United will go head to head again on Tuesday after playing out a goalless draw.
