Roy Hodgson spoke to around 400 students and alumni

Roy Hodgson has delivered a speech on leadership and taken questions at one of the world's most renowned universities.

The England manager addressed a packed Union Hall at Cambridge University on Wednesday evening.

It is a room steeped in history that has hosted esteemed figures from the world of sport, entertainment and politics.

Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher and President Ronald Reagan have all spoken in the famous hall.

And in more recent times, former England manager Fabio Capello and actors Sir Ian McKellen and Robert Downey Jr have also stood at the lectern.

The England boss outlined his management principles and spoke of his experiences in almost 40 years of football management.

Hodgson delivered a 40-minute speech to students and then took questions from the assembled audience.

The discussion included England's prospects at Euro 2016, Wayne Rooney's fantastic career and Gary Neville as a potential England manager.

He also answered questions on the use of data and statistics in the modern game, as well his positive relationships with Premier League managers.
