Lucy Bronze believes England Women fully merited their 2-0 Cyprus Cup win over Italy, and is confident her team-mates will continue to pick up new Head Coach Mark Sampson's ideas.
A Karen Carney penalty and a cool finish from Toni Duggan handed the Three Lions victory in the opening group game of a tournament they won last year.
They created a host of other chances to make the scoreline more flattering but Bronze is more than satisfied with how things went.

The Liverpool defender said: "It was a really good game from us.
"We were in control for most of it. Italy had a spell in the first half and after they made a few subs, but overall I felt we were the better side.
"We implemented a few of the things Mark wants us to do but we know we’re still building. We are not perfect and we’ve got plenty to work on, but we’re making progress which is the main thing."
Bronze, who is appearing in the Cyprus Cup for the first time, has played across the back four for her country.
But she joined new Manchester City signing Steph Houghton at the heart of the England backline for the second game in succession and helped to keep a proficient Italian attack at bay.
She added: "A clean sheet is what defenders and goalkeepers always set out to achieve and we did that so we have to be pleased.
"If you keep a clean sheet you’re not going to lose a game and that’s always a good base to build from. Italy got in a few times but I thought we dealt with those occasions well."
Bronze continued: "I’ll play anywhere for England, I just want to be on the pitch. I’m developing all the time and the more games I get, the more I’ll learn.
"There has been a good atmosphere in the squad this week. The team seems very together at the minute and I’m really enjoying it."
