FA Vase heavyweights handed home Fifth Round ties

The draw for the Fifth Round been made at Wembley Stadium

The draw for the Fifth Round Proper of The FA Carlsberg Vase has been made at Wembley today.

The last two winners of The Vase – Dunston UTS (2012) and Spennymoor Town (2013) – have both made it to this last-16 stage and both have been handed home ties. 

Dunston host Brightlingsea Regent from the Eastern Counties League while holders Spennymoor will welcome fellow Northern League side Newcastle Benfield to The Brewery Field.

Winning clubs to receive £2,500 from The FA's Prize Fund

 

Two sides vying for top place in the Spartan South Midlands League could also be meeting in The Vase on 15 February. 

If Hanwell Town beat Ashford United at home in next Saturday’s rearranged Fourth Round Proper tie, they will travel to Ampthill Town. Ampthill lead the table at the moment but Hanwell have several games in hand.

The eight winners in the Fifth Round Proper will each collect £2,500.
