England will play three games immediately prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, The FA have confirmed.

The Three Lions will first take on Peru in their final game at Wembley Stadium before the tournament on Friday 30 May (8pm KO).

England's pre-World Cup friendlies

  • Denmark at Wembley, 5 March
  • Peru at Wembley, 30 May
  • Ecuador in Miami, 4 June
  • Honduras in Miami, 7 June

They will then travel to the United States for two matches in Miami’s Sunlife Stadium.

England will face Ecuador on Wednesday 4 June (8pm BST, 3pm local time) and then Honduras on Saturday 7 June (9.45pm BST, 4.45pm local time).

Hodgson's men will head directly from Miami to Rio de Janeiro, where they will be based during the tournament.

The intention is to travel to Manaus, venue of England's first group game against Italy, two days prior to the game on Saturday 14 June, and also to remain there on the night of the game.

Hodgson said: "I'm delighted with the games we have been able to secure and the programme running up to the World Cup in general.

"I was clear to those responsible at The FA that I was looking for Central and South American opposition ahead of the tournament and that is exactly what has been delivered.

"In our training camps here and abroad, I hope to foster the spirit and work ethic that we are going to need out in Brazil.

"It is a tournament I want us to enjoy, but to do that we must work hard and play well."

Wembley will host England's first game of 2014 against Denmark on Wednesday 5 March, 8pm KO.

Ticket prices start at £20 for adults and £10 for children and are available via www.TheFA.com/tickets or via the ticket hotline 0844 847 2010.

Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate's Under-21s also return to competitive action in March as they resume their 2015 UEFA European qualification campaign against neighbours Wales at Derby County’s Pride Park, now known as the iPro Stadium.

The young lions will play Wales in the away fixture in May before heading to the south of France for the Under-20s Toulon tournament, a competition that an England team has not competed in since 2005.
