Nathan Redmond has been in good goalscoring form for the Under-21s in 2014
Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond enjoyed a profitable 2014 on the international scene, particularly in front of goal.

The former Birmingham City man made an electric start to the year by scoring the winner and picking up the man-of-the-match award for the Three Lions in the 1-0 victory over Wales at Derby County’s iPro Stadium in March.

And the Red Dragons must have been sick of the sight of him after their next meeting with England in May, when Redmond was in red-hot form to hit a hat-trick in Swansea and secure a 3-1 win.

He impressed for the U20s during the summer’s Toulon Tournament and showed the same sharpness during the games in Lithuania and Moldova in September.

With Gareth Southgate’s side facing a play-off with Croatia for a spot in the Euro Finals in October, Redmond proved his worth again with two strong displays in both legs as England won 4-2 on aggregate.

By now, Redmond was one of the first names on Southgate’s team sheet and he proved his worth again in November with a virtuoso performance against Portugal in Burnley as the Three Lions beat their Euro rivals by 3-1 at Turf Moor.
