the state of play (DO NOT MIGRATE)

Get involved. Be heard

Football should be open to everyone – from any walk of life or background.

We want to make sure that there are no barriers to talented people in this great game of ours. To do this, we need to know what the state of play is now, because knowing who does what across the whole game will show us where doors might be closed so that we can work out what needs to be done to open them.

The State of Play survey will show us this, but only with your help. If you work or volunteer in a key role in football we need you to tell us who you are, what you do and where you come from.

Some of the questions we ask might seem personal, but don’t worry, everything you share will be safe, secure, confidential and above all anonymous.

Why all the questions?

We will be asking you some questions about you: this is because we want to find out who works in the football industry now and what needs to be done to ensure football is truly open to a wide and diverse talent pool.

Your answers will help us find out what extra services we need to offer, where we need to provide training and where we may need to guide recruitment to address areas of under-representation.

It will help us to analyse what we’re doing and give us the tools we need to create a truly inclusive game.

personal-questions

So, what do we want to know?

We need to know a few things like your gender, race, religion, age, sexuality and whether you have a particular condition.

Yes, it sounds like a lot but it really will help make our services better by targeting the right people, and remember, it is completely anonymous, we’re not trying to single out individuals, and we’re looking to see what the picture looks like now.

want-to-know

Confidentiality

We know some of our questions are very personal. Anything you tell us will be completely confidential, safe and secure. We’re governed by strict laws so you can be confident your answers will be protected, used and reported responsibly and anonymously.

Whatever you tell us, it won’t come back to you personally.

private

It’s perfectly normal to feel protective of your personal information.

You have the option of prefer not to say as a response if you decide not to take part in this survey, but if you do decide to take part it will help us to get a better picture of the state of play across as many roles in football as possible. Showing where people from different backgrounds are represented, we need to hear from you.
