And Reds fans will be hoping the current crop can replicate their team of 2009, who faced Derby in the fifth round at the iPro Stadium and completed a 4-1 victory.

The third goal that day came from Cristiano Ronaldo, following on from Nani's first-half opener and Darron Gibson's second. The fourth goal came in the later stages from Danny Welbeck.

Ronaldo's goal was a powerful header, direct from a Ryan Giggs corner, and the Portuguese went on to score 26 goals in 53 games for the Old Trafford club that season as they lifted the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final, where they were beaten 2-0 by Barcelona.

At the end of that season, Ronaldo left United to join Real Madrid in a record-breaking deal and he remains at the Bernebeu to this day.
