Former QPR defender Darren Peacock tasted FA Cup victory on Saturday

Former Queens Park Rangers hero Darren Peacock had a dream double on Saturday as his Lancaster City FC side beat Washington FC 7-0.

Peacock is a hero at Loftus Road where he played centre-back for four season, and as his former side enjoyed a precious 1-0 Premier League win over Sunderland in west London, his Northern Premier League Division One North league club cruised through their FA Cup preliminary round.

Meanwhile, Market Drayton Town FC almost matched that impressive scoreline with a 6-0 win away at Dudley Town FC.

Glossop North End, on the other hand, were able to match Lancaster City all the way as they also won 7-0 on their travels to Maltby Main FC.

Elsewhere, a Scot Metcalfe hat-trick ensured Warrington Town marched on in the FA Cup with a 4-1 victory over Barton Old Boy's FC.

Warrington went behind to the the Northern Counties East 1st division side when Scott Philips won and converted a penalty on 17 minutes.

But Warrington battled back when talisman Metcalfe smashed home a spot-kick after team-mate Anthony Hickey was brought down in the box. And the in-form finisher grabbed his second with a cooly taken lob just seconds after evening things up.

Then, with 16 minutes remaining, Mark Wharton was brought down in the box and Metcalfe was able to covert his second penalty and third goal of the day.

And ten minutes from time Warrington made sure of a home tie with near neighbours Trafford in the next round, a fortnight's time, when substitute Chris Gahgan latched onto a cross to make it 4-1.

Dorking Wanderers produced an impressive performance in their 3-0 win over Ryman League Division One South side Sittingbourne. After winning 7-0 away at Crowborough Athletic in an extra preliminary round replay, Wanderers scored another more modest win on the road in Kent.

Warren Bentley won all the personal plaudits as he struck twice to earn his Winchester City FC side a 2-0 win over Bashley FC.

In one of the day's more closely contested ties Bridgwater Town FC edged past Brislington FC by a single goal.

Essex side Romford FC travelled to St Margaretsbury FC and left with a comfortable 4-0 win, as did AFC Kempston Rovers who hit four without reply at home against Sileby Rangers FC.

And Southern League Central Division side Godalming Town notched up a 2-0 win away at local rivals Windsor FC with goals coming from Marco Micaletto and Will Hutton.
