Michael Boateng given lifetime suspension from all football activity

Following the conviction of Michael Boateng in June 2014 at the Birmingham Crown Court for conspiracy to commit bribery, he was charged by The Football Association with two breaches of FA Rule E5 relating to this matter.

Mr Boateng admitted the charges and requested that they be dealt with at a paper hearing.

A Regulatory Commission considered the case on Tuesday and ordered Mr Boateng be subject to a lifetime suspension from all football and football activity.

Prior to The FA hearing Mr Boateng was subject to an interim suspension.
