Republic of Ireland defenders Yvonne Tracy and Ciara Grant have left Arsenal Ladies after the pair came to the end of their contracts.

Grant helped the Gunners to 11 league titles, nine FA Women’s Cups, nine League Cups, and one UEFA Women’s Cup, following her arrival in 1998.

She became the first player to reach 100 caps for Ireland and will now play under former Arsenal team-mate Jayne Ludlow at Reading.

Tracy enjoyed a similarly successful career at the Boreham Wood-based club and helped Arsenal to the treble in her debut season of 2000-01.

Gunners general manager Vic Akers said: "I would like to thank both Ciara and Yvonne for their fantastic contribution to the club.

"They’ve been central to the success the Ladies have had over the last 15 years.

"As well as being excellent players, they’ve been great to work with.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, I’d like to wish them well for the future."
