It is 19-year old Baggaley’s first official call-up to the senior team, having been part of England youth teams at U17, U19, U20 and U23 level.

She has also trained with the senior side at St. George’s Park in sessions over the past year.

Baggaley said: “I’m delighted to have been called up.

“I have been brought into training sessions when I was part of the Next Gen squad but to be called up to the senior squad officially is a dream come true.

“Hopefully I can learn a lot this week.”

England goalkeeping coach Lee Kendall said: “Sophie is a player who has been in our youth system for some time and this season has really come on, doing well for Birmingham City when she has played.

“She is also the type of personality and character who fits well into the team.

“Sophie trained with the squad earlier in the camp at St. George’s Park and really impressed with her shot stopping and has certainly earned her right to be part of the squad.”
