Meanwhile, Manchester City duo Toni Duggan and Lucy Bronze have been left out of the squad due to injury.

Sampson said: "USA provide us with another opportunity to test ourselves against a top-tier nation which, moving towards the World Cup, is exactly the type of challenge we need.

"With Kelly Smith's retirement and some regular players injured it also gives us the opportunity to look at some new possibilities."

The match against USA is part of England's preparation for this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup, which will take place in Canada. England have been drawn in Group F alongside France, Mexico and Colombia.

Tickets for the USA match are priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available at £10 and group booking discounts apply.
