The duo surprised pupils with an appearance at Heyrovskeho School in the Three Lions’ base city of Olomouc on Tuesday morning.

And they were given an early warm-up for their training session later that day, as the youngsters quickly involved both players in their PE lesson on the school's 3G surface.
Southampton midfielder Ward-Prowse took on his usual role in a small-sided game, whilst Stoke City keeper Butland enjoyed some shooting practice by taking turns with the school’s young stoppers to face shots from the forwards, many of whom represent local club Sigma Olomouc's academy.
With two of England’s games in the European Championship Finals taking place in Olomouc, the pair were keen to build some local support at a school which counts four of the current Czech U21 squad among its alumni.
Chelsea defender and captain Tomas Kalas, along with Michal Reichl, Tomas Prikryl and David Houskaall all attended the school and both players were impressed with the talent on show from the current pupils.

"It was good, and a bit of a work out, as the standard was very good. It’s great to see the youngsters doing their thing," said Ward-Prowse afterwards.
"I’m sure some of them might be playing for their national team some day and hopefully I’ll be playing against them - maybe there could be another match in the future.
"It’s great to come here and it’s a great city, where everyone has made us feel welcome, so it’s nice to come down and see the kids playing good football and hopefully we can do the same."
Butland was equally impressed with the skills on show: "There are some good players and I had to start diving around a bit when they were firing them in.
"It was good to be here and to see the kids having a good time, they’re only 10, 11 or 12 and it was a very good standard so I was very impressed.
