Luke Garbutt has joined Fulham on loan
Fulham announced the season-long loan signing of defender Luke Garbutt from Everton on Saturday.

The 22-year-old defender has represented England at all youth levels from Under-16s to U21s and featured for Gareth Southgate’s side at the European U21s Championship earlier this summer.

“When I got the call saying Fulham wanted me on a season-long loan, I spoke to the manager and the staff here and I liked what they had to say and their plans for me this season,” Garbutt told FulhamFC.com.

“They’ve shown their faith and trust in me. I’m really looking forward to working with the boys and obviously the main objective is to get promoted this season.”

Garbutt started his youth career at Leeds United before making the move to Everton in 2009. He made over 50 appearances and scored five times during his two loans spells at Cheltenham Town and Colchester United.

On his return to Goodison Park, he made his first-team debut for the Toffees in a Premier League match against Southampton in April 2014 which was followed by a first call-up to the England U21s side.
