Boothroyd’s men have been unbeaten all season, but aside from obviously continuing that run in France, the head coach believes his players will benefit a lot from the tournament experience.
"We’re big on gaining tournament experience. One of the things we’re trying to do is have cap accumulation for our younger players as they come through - they need to be playing in different tournaments and against different teams," he explained last week.
"We’re starting off against Morocco in our group so we have that exposure straight away.
"It’s not just about the playing, it’s about the downtime and how the players handle that too."
