England U19s face September trips to Germany and Croatia

England Under-19s will begin their season with an overseas double-header against Germany and Croatia.

The Young Lions will be given a tough test in their first campaign under the charge of head coach Aidy Boothroyd next month, as they prepare for Euro Qualifiers in October.

They have been drawn alongside Italy, Finland and group hosts FYR Macedonia in the First Qualifying Round as the race to reach next summer’s Euro Finals in Germany.

And England will play their first game in Germany, when they face the Euro hosts at the BELKAW Arena, home of SV Bergisch Gladbach, on Friday 4 September.

From there the squad will travel further east to Zagreb, where they face Croatia at the Sveti Josip Radnik Stadion, home of FC Sesvete on Monday 7 September.

England’s qualifiers take place between 8 and 13 October.
