England's CP team were held to a 1-1 draw in their first game of the Home Nations Championship in Kilwinning on Saturday morning.

As Keith Webb's squad continue their preparations for this summer's CP World Championship at St. George's Park, the Three Lions made a bright start to the game and took the lead through captain Michael Barker after just seven minutes.

But they could only hold their lead for 20 minutes as the hosts equalised via a deft-flick before the break to secure a point. There had been a warning for England too, as Alistair Patrick-Heselton was forced to clear off the line to deny Scotland in the 13th minute.

The Three Lions spent the second half looking for a winner with Barker seeing two headers off-target before substitute Ollie Nugent's shot hit the post in the 44th minute.

But Scotland proved a tough opponent to break down and England will have another chance to beat them on Sunday morning when the teams meet again at 11am.

England CPs: R. Kay, H Baker, M Sinclair, G Fletcher, A Patrick-Heselton, J Brown, M Barker (c).

Substitutes: O. Nugent for A. Patrick-Heselton 44, B. Fleming for J. Brown 48, W Boucher for Baker 58.
