After a hugely successful few days away with the England U17s squad, TheFA.com met the Mersey boys of the Young Lions squad.
After recording a 100 per cent record in the First Qualifying Round for the European Championship in Armenia, Liverpudlians Ryan Ledson, Tom Brewitt, Jonjoe Kenny and Jordan Rossiter spoke about their time away with John Peacock's team.
Full-back Jonjoe Kenny, of Everton, said: "It's been great to be involved in every game.
"I have swapped and changed between right-back and centre-half, but I think I've done alright.
"It's always enjoyable coming away with England and these lads, we always have a great time."
Fellow Evertonian and U17s captain Ryan Ledson echoed his team-mate's thoughts.
"It is a nice bunch of lads in this squad, so it's always a pleasure to come away with England."
Onto the red side of the Fab Four, and Liverpool duo Tom Brewitt and Jordan Rossiter both had an equally enjoyable time out in Yerevan - helping England defeat Armenia 4-0, Gibraltar 8-0 and Republic of Ireland 6-0.
Brewitt said: "I think the back four and the 'keeper have defended well throughout.
"As a team, we weren't really called into action that much, but when we were we handled it well.
"I even managed to get a goal against Gibraltar. It fell to me perfectly in the box and I finished it nicely."
The final match against Ireland was undoubtably the best performance of the three.
And with Ledson and Rossiter alongside each other in midfield, the Irish were unable to handle the pair, with the latter particularly excelling in a man-of the-match display.
"I was really happy with my performance against Ireland," said Rossiter.
"I had a bit of a disappointment when I didn't get on the pitch against Gibraltar, but the lads helped me get right mentally and I thought the game flowed nicely.
"I think me and Ryan are a really good partnership and we showed that on Tuesday."
Ledson agreed and says he had no doubts stepping forward to convert a late penalty.
He revealed: "The manager had said in the pre-match meeting that if we won a penalty then I was on duty, so I was more than happy to step-up, put it away and get myself a goal.
"I think me and Jordan showed how well we work as a combination and we enjoy playing with each other."
Kenny added: "In the tunnel beforehand, they were shouting a few things but we didn't let it get to us.
"We stay focused and did our job."
Kenny, who dubs himself 'king of the banter', undeniably played his part along with his fellow Merseysiders in keeping the squad and staff entertained throughout at their stay at the FFA Academy.
Rossiter explains: "I think us four are definitely the loudest out of the team.
"It is good for the morale and everyone enjoys it."
Brewitt added: "There's a bit of banter with it being two Everton and two Liverpool lads, and it will be quite funny when we meet each other for our clubs as we all take it seriously.
"But it is all in good spirit and we want each other to do well."
All joking aside, it is clear they all know what needs to be done now, and there is a burning desire in each of them to succeed.
Rossiter said: "I want get picked for the Algarve Tournament, show what I can do there, and then take that form on to the Euros."
And Ledson concluded: "We just all need to get our heads down now, keep playing well, and hopefully John will select us all for the Elite Round.
"It gives us a great goal to aim for."
