Chelsea were the 2015 FA Youth Cup winners
Chelsea are The FA Youth Cup holders, having beaten Manchester City in last season’s two-legged Final, and the 64th competition gets underway with 133 Preliminary Round ties to be played in the week commencing 7 September.

Dulwich Hamlet, whose Youth Cup runs in previous seasons have taken them through to glamour ties against the likes of Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, start the current campaign with a home tie against Meridian. If they win, they will have Whitstable Town at Champion Hill in the First Round Qualifying two weeks later.

England squad member Charlie Austin joined the 'pro game from Poole Town and the Dolphins have a local derby against Bournemouth to look forward to in the Youth Cup.

Another intriguing tie in the Preliminary Round is Boreham Wood v CB Hounslow United. Their respective first teams play in the National League Premier Division and the Combined Counties League Division One.
