Arsenal were given a special reception at Islington Town Hall on Monday afternoon to celebrate their FA Women's Cup success last month.

The Gunners secured the trophy for the 13th time with a 2-0 victory over Everton on Sunday 1 June to complete the club's first FA Cup/FA Women's Cup double since 1998.

Arsenal were met at the Town Hall by the Mayor of Islington Theresa Debono, local MP Jeremy Corbyn, Islington Council representatives and a group of girls from Highbury Fields School.

A drinks reception was followed by speeches from the Mayor, the Leader of the Council and team captain Kelly Smith, who scored the opener and set up the second goal in The Final.
