Aspiring young footballers were provided with an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of professional clubs’ scouts at St. George’s Park on 22 April, as ProChance hosted an exhibition fixture with Huddersfield Town at the home of England’s national teams.

Formed by head coach Liam Sutcliffe, ProChance aims to give promising young players without professional clubs another chance to impress, with fixtures such as the one hosted at St. George’s Park this month providing an opportunity to showcase their talents and return to professional set-ups.

All players involved were able to utilise the stunning facilities and pitches on offer at St. George’s Park, made more enjoyable to the fantastic weather on the day.

Whilst the Huddersfield Town side won the fixture 5-2, the scoreline wasn’t as important as the performances on show, which will hopefully allow aspiring professionals additional opportunities to fulfil their aspirations.

Speaking after the game, ProChance head coach Sutcliffe said: “It’s been a really good day. St. George’s Park is fantastic, as everyone would expect.

“I’ve got to say a huge thank you to the guys at St. George’s Park for making us feel so welcome and for giving us the opportunity to come and play here, which is something we will do more and more in the future.”

St. George’s Park looks forward to welcome ProChance back to the home of England’s national teams in future.
