Mayor of London launches three grants for Londoners to run local activities

The Mayor of London has launched grants to enable as many people in the capital as possible can be part of this once in a generation event

In its 60th anniversary year, UEFA EURO 2020 will be the biggest and most inclusive celebration of European football in history, with the hosting shared by 12 cities across Europe for the first time ever. 

London is one of these cities and Wembley Stadium will welcome over 600,000 fans when it hosts seven matches – three group stage matches, one round of 16 match, both semi-finals and the showpiece final. 

In advance of the tournament, The Mayor of London has launched the Mayor of London UEFA EURO 2020 Grants Programme, which will provide the opportunity for Londoners to run local activities to ensure that as many people in the capital as possible can be part of this once in a generation event.

The Grants Programme consists of three funds:

The Celebrate as One Fund offering grants between £500-£1,000
The Free Kicks Fund offering grants between £1,000-£4,000
The Community Fund offering grants between £4,000-£10,000

Applications to the Grants Programme are now live and will remain so until mid-January 2020.
