England Futsal chief Michael Skubala has selected a long list of 19 players for the upcoming Four Nations tournament in Scotland.
The Futsal Lions will take on Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland in three games across the weekend, with the games being held at Oriam in Edinburgh.
And head coach Skubala has handed call-ups to four new players from the U23s and U19s squads with Alex Turfrey, Sam Husby, Dean Withers and Curtis Mason joining Skubala's group for the first time.
“It’s important for me, in good competition like this, to try and see if players that are doing well in our system can adapt to the senior environment and make that big step up,” revealed Skubala.
“We know that all the home nations are improving rapidly and are developing their Futsal programmes well so it will be a tough four days where we will need to be on top of our game."
The tournament comes quickly off the back of two friendlies against Wales at St. George’s Park earlier this month, where England managed to get a 2-1 win and a 2-2 draw over the Four Nations reigning champions, so it bodes for a tasty first game in Edinburgh as Wales and England meet again.
They meet on Friday 1 December, before England face Northern Ireland the following day and then finish the fixtures on Sunday 3 December against the host nation.
