Solanke and Cook have both been part of the Under-21 squad since winning the World Cup this summer

Dominic Solanke and Lewis Cook have joined Angus Gunn in being added to the senior England squad ahead of Tuesday’s visit of Brazil.

Gareth Southgate revealed immediately after Friday's draw with Germany that he planned to draft in Gunn as a replacement for the withdrawn Jack Butland.

The goalkeeper's call-up has now been confirmed, along with those of Solanke and Cook.

The three players linked up with the Three Lions on Saturday evening, having all played a part in the Under-21s’ 2-0 victory over Ukraine in Kiev on Friday night.

Liverpool striker Solanke and Bournemouth midfielder Cook were both key members of England’s 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup-winning squad, as top goalscorer and captain respectively.

Gunn, on loan at Norwich City from Manchester City, has ten U21 caps to his name having also represented the Young Lions at U16, U17, U19 and U20 level.

Meanwhile, Phil Jones has been ruled out of the Brazil fixture.

The defender was substituted in the 25th minute of Friday’s draw with Germany and has now returned to Manchester United for treatment for a thigh problem.
