Greg Dyke 'deeply saddened' by Rebecca Ellison's passing
Greg Dyke has sent his condolences to the family and friends of Rebecca Ellison, who passed away on Friday evening.
Rebecca – the wife of former England captain Rio Ferdinand – had breast cancer.
The FA Chairman said: "I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Rio Ferdinand's wife Rebecca.
"On behalf of everyone at The FA, our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Rio, his family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
She leaves behind three children, Lorenz, nine, Tate, six and four-year-old Tia.
