It's a Score Draw for England with retro shirt deal

Monday 27 Jul 2015

The FA has announced a four-year agreement with retro shirt manufacturers Score Draw, giving them the licence to reproduce a range of iconic England shirts.

This new deal means the relationship with Score Draw can continue through next year’s European Championship in France and the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Their retro shirts give the 17.7m UK-based England fans the opportunity to fondly remember past teams and former glories, while still showing their colours as Three Lions supporters.

The current range provides a unique recollection of years gone by, conjuring memories of some of the greatest moments in the team’s history such as the 1966 World Cup shirt - the most iconic shirt of all.

This long-sleeved red shirt is synonymous with English football’s greatest hour, as Bobby Moore and co. defeated West Germany 4-2 at Wembley to win the World Cup.

Other notable shirts in the collection include the 1980-83 home offering, featuring blue and red shoulder panels and a slim v-neck and famously sported by Kevin Keegan during the 1982 World Cup in Spain.

Continuing the red, white and blue theme, the collared 1976 offering with red sleeve panels is also included.

Finally, the most recent is the home shirt from the 1990 World Cup in Italy, where the Three Lions reached the semi-finals for the first time on foreign soil under the stewardship of Sir Bobby Robson.

Next year’s collection will broaden this range into a new era of English football and bring out more of those famous England memories.

Manufactured using the same materials as the original shirts, fans can be assured that they are purchasing a truly authentic product, and a unique piece of English football history.
