John O'Shea is hoping to lead Sunderland to Wembley

Sunderland captain John O'Shea wants his club to focus on their FA Cup Fourth Round replay with Fulham, without thinking too far ahead.

If they beat Fulham, the Black Cats know they are just two wins away from a Wembley Semi-Final, but O'Shea says they must focus on the task in hand – getting through their replay at Craven Cottage.

7.45pm, Tuesday 3 February
Craven Cottage, London
Winners Bradford City

"People will look at Bradford City, how they were the big giant-killers from the last round against Chelsea and it was obviously amazing for them to come from 2-0 down and win," O'Shea told safc.com.

"They will be happy with a home draw but first and foremost we have a tough away game against Fulham, so hopefully we can progress but it is going to be difficult."

Fulham held Sunderland to a 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light at the weekend with the replay at Craven Cottage taking place on Tuesday.

Victory in west London will set them up for a Fifth-Round match at Valley Parade against Bradford.

“The teams in the lower leagues have already shown how strong they can be”

Phil Parkinson's men stunned Premier League leaders Chelsea with an incredible 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, in a match being mooted as one of the greatest FA Cup upsets in history.

And O'Shea said the gap between the top tier and those in the lower divisions can go out the window when paired together in The FA Cup.

"The teams in the lower leagues have already shown how strong they can be," he added.

"But as I said, first-off we have to take care of Fulham and we look forward to that."
