Sven named his 23-man squad for Euro 2004 today.

If you've been on TheFA.com today, you'll know by now that England Head Coach Sven-Göran Eriksson has named his 23-man squad for this summer's European Championship.
There are no surprises among the goalkeepers with first choice 'keeper David James joined by Tottenham's new recruit Paul Robinson and Ian Walker. James was exceptional in qualification for Portugal, particularly against Turkey, and he'll now look to take that form into the championship.
The selection headache that Sven has experienced in recent weeks has mainly focused on defence where the coach is missing some key personnel due to injury. Without Ferdinand, Southgate and Woodgate, Sven has given Ledley King the biggest opportunity of his life.
The Tottenham man, who has been playing in midfield as well as defence this season, is called in to the squad after he performed admirably, scoring in England's 1-1 draw away to Portugal in February.
Jamie Carragher also gets a call-up, earning his first place in an England squad for a major championship. His commitment and versatility were the factors that ultimately convinced Sven to plump for him.
Otherwise the defensive unit is as expected with first-choice pairing Sol Campell and John Terry completing the centre-backs.
Ashley Cole, Wayne Bridge and Gary Neville - for whom this will represent a third European Championship - will also be on the plane to Portugal as will utility man Phil Neville.
In the midfield, Captain David Beckham is joined by his former Manchester United team-mates Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
Owen Hargreaves, the only England man not to have played in the Premiership, Kieron Dyer and Joe Cole are all included, as are the in form duo of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard. There looks to be goals aplenty in this area of the squad.
Michael Owen, who has scored five of his 24 England goals at major championships, will undoubtedly lead the England attack and is joined by his Anfield team-mate Emile Heskey.
The other two strikers who will go to Euro 2004 are Everton's 18-year-old starlet Wayne Rooney and Aston Villa's Darius Vassell.
Jermain Defoe will join up with the England squad for the Summer Tournament but will not travel to Portugal. Sven has clearly taken note of his recent hot-streak and wants to see more of the little poacher who made such an impression during his debut against Sweden.
Defoe takes his place on the stand-by list along with five other players: Scott Parker, Alan Smith, Gareth Southgate, Matthew Upson and Richard Wright .
Sven will hand his squad into UEFA on 2 June.
