The Young Lionesses will face Norway and Sweden later this month
The England Women’s Under-23 side will face two testing behind-closed-doors games against Norway and Sweden later this month.
The Young Lionesses will be led by Kay Cossington, as regular Head Coach Brent Hills will be helping the Senior team prepare for their match against Japan.
But he was delighted to have secured friendlies against two top sides.
Hills said: “Sweden and Norway agree with us that an Under-23 squad is a really important to help with the step up to Senior level.
“They are both really strong nations in women’s football and this will be a great challenge for all the sides involved.”
England will face Norway on Tuesday 25 June before taking on the Swedes two days later.
There are first call-ups at this level for midfielder Katie Stanley and forwards Aileen Whelan and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk.
