Ellen White is expecting a tough and passionate encounter when England Women entertain Wales on Saturday.
There will be three World Cup qualifying points up for grabs at The Den on 26 October, the day of The FA’s 150th birthday, and White believes Jarmo Matikainen’s side will provide a stern test.
She said: “It's going to be a very difficult game. Wales have got a lot of skilful players like Jess Fishlock and Helen Ward - Jess has been doing really well in America and Helen at Chelsea.
“It will be competitive and feisty but we're up for it. It's England v Wales; there will be a lot of passion but I'm really looking forward to it.”
An England win in south London would leave Brent Hills’ charges on maximum points from their opening three qualifiers following the emphatic victories over Belarus
White was on target in both games and said her team-mates have regained their confidence after a dismal European Championship campaign in the summer.
The 24-year-old added: “We scored a lot of goals which is pleasing and kept two clean sheets. Obviously both teams are ranked lower than us but you can only beat what's in front of you and I thought it was a very professional job.
“The squad seemed happy and confident in their performance so we were really pleased to come away with six points."
White continued: “Brent kept telling us that we couldn't get complacent and we trained well in the build up to those games. But I don't think we’d ever get complacent because we all just want to play our best for England and do as well as we can.
“We all wanted to show that we were good enough to be in the England squad and that we do have pride in the shirt.”
