Brent Hills insists his side are aiming to make a strong statement in their World Cup qualifying group on Thursday, by making it six points from their first two games.
After beating Belarus 6-0 in their opening game
last weekend, the Lionesses now take on Turkey at Portsmouth's Fratton Park.
And the Interim Head Coach is hoping that the spirit and work ethic within his squad from over the last few days can be replicated on the pitch.
Hills told TheFA.com: "The girls have worked very hard and are still trying to show everyone that their performances in the summer were well below par and they want to redeem themselves
"But the training's been very positive, it was a positive start to get three points on Saturday and now we're aiming for another three points to make it six points from our first two games.
"That would be a really strong showing at the start of the campaign.”
Thursday’s game also sees a return to Portsmouth for Hills, where he took in his first game as former boss Hope Powell’s assistant against Portugal in 2001.
"It was a long, long time ago,” he added.
“I can just remember it and I think it was Fara's first start so I have very fond memories of it.
"It was an emotional night for me, being the first time I was involved with an England team.”
