England Women's Interim Head Coach Brent Hills saw his side put on an impressive performance to beat Belarus by 6-0 in Bournemouth, but won't be getting carried away with anything.
The result puts the Lionesses on top of their group table after only one game but with another match against Turkey on Thursday to come, Hills is already keen to play things down.
A Karen Carney hat-trick and further goals from Ellen White, Natasha Dowie and Eni Aluko made sure England were convincing winners, but Hills admits it could have been even better.
"One swallow doesn't make a summer," he said.
"We're pleased about the things we worked on in training and tried in the game.
"It didn't go well all the time but they had a go.
"We did our research on Belarus but I wanted to see us pressing as a team to win the ball back earlier."
But with six goals to show for it, Hills admits he was largely happy with the standard of shooting from the Lionesses, who head further along the south coast to Portsmouth for Thursday's game.
He added: "Finishing is difficult for everyone, but we scored some good goals so I'm not dis-pleased at all.
"The early goal from Karen gave us some composure and settled our nerves so it was a good day for us."
