The thirty player squad that will travel to La Manga next Monday sees three changes to that named last week by Hope Powell.Charlton Athletic defender Casey Stoney will miss the trip due to coaching commitments she is undertaking for the club currently in the USA, and will be replaced by Birmingham City's Sally Lacey.
Stoney's Charlton teammate Amanda Barr misses the trip too, for personal reasons, and has been replaced by Blackburn Rovers' Lynda Shepherd.
England Assistant Head Coach Brent Hills included Shepherd in his squad for last Summer's Nordic Cup and told TheFA.com:
"Lynda has gained a number of caps for the U21 squad over the last eighteen months and is an established member of the Blackburn Rovers side who are challenging for promotion from the Women's Premier League Northern Division.
"She has developed her game and must now concentrate on improving her all-round conditioning and game understanding, if she is to start pushing for recognition with the senior squad."
Jo Fletcher is the third player to withdraw from the squad due to injury, and the Birmingham City 'keeper's place has been taken by Charlton Athletic's Michelle Hickmott, a first call-up for the left-sided player who joined from Coventry City at the beginning of this season.
TheFA.com will bring you an interview on Friday with another new call-up, Jill Scott, before on Monday, Assistant Head Coach Brent Hills gives his opinions on the year ahead for The Three Lions.
