Hope Powell and Kelly Simmons will be speakers at 7 February's Women's Football Conference.
England Women’s Football Head Coach Hope Powell and FA Head of National Football Development Kelly Simmons have been confirmed as the key note speakers at the Great London Football Partnership's Women's Football Conference on Monday 7 February.
Arsenal Football Club provides the venue for the Conference that will seek consultation on the Greater London Female Football Strategy.
With the UEFA 2005 European Women's Championship to be staged in England between the 5-19th June, The FA anticipate that even more girls and women will be looking to take up the national game this year, joining the millions of females now involved, making football the biggest female partipation sport in the country.
The Conference will take place over two sessions. Between 1.30-4.30pm, Sports Development Officers, Football Development Officers, Partnership Development Manager’s, School Sports Coordinators, Teachers and Football in the Community Officers are invited to a series of workshops as well as to a presentation on the 2005 European Women’s Championships that will provide both a national perspective, as well as explain the opportuntities for London's football community to get involved.
Delegates will also be invited to provide input and feedback on the draft strategy for Women’s Football in London and then have the chance to attend 2 workshops.
An evening Conference between 6-9pm is aimed at attracting football volunteers, coaches, clubs, league representatives and players.
