England international Jonjo Shelvey scores in Swans win
scored his second goal for Swansea City on Saturday since his summer move from Liverpool.
The midfielder, who was part of the England Under-21 squad that competed in UEFA Euro 2013, claimed the Swans' second as they ran out 3-0 winners over Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
His strike came after Michu had opened the scoring for Michael Laudrup's side and it was followed by a Pablo Hernandez effort. Saturday's goal was his second since he joined the Welsh club, his first came in a 10-0 victory over Haaglandia on the club's tour of Holland.
Shelvey has appeared 12 times for the Three Lions at Under-21 level and made his senior England debut last October when he came on as a substitute in the World Cup qualifier against San Marino.
Swansea's eyes will now switch to Thursday night’s Europa League first leg third qualifying round tie when the Capital One Cup holders face Malmo at the Liberty Stadium.
Shelvey is also likely to be involved in the England Under-21 squad for the historic match with Scotland at Sheffield United.
While the senior teams will play for the first time in 14 years at Wembley, the night before will see the Young Lions take on their Scottish counterparts at Bramall Lane.
It will be the first time the two nations have gone head-to-head at Under-21 level since 1993.
Tickets are priced at £10 Adults, £5 Concessions, £20 Family of four* (*T&Cs apply). For details call the Sheffield United ticket hotline on 0871 995 1889 or visit the website www.sufc.talent-sport.co.uk.
